I've asked you before and I'll ask you again
You made me a promise to always be my friend
Now as I sit and watch myself dying
I should've known that you were only just lying
I grow weaker with every single beat of my heart
I haven't been the same ever since we grew apart
Where are you when I need you to hold my hand?
I take a look around and death's my only friend
I start drifting into this state of pure bliss
I go back and visit all the places that I miss
I jump from memories just trying to find
The place where I knew you were only mine
I held you tight and you were all that I could see
Where are you when I need you here with me?
Hold me in your arms and tell me its okay
Before I start drifting on my very last day
I want to say goodbye before I lose my chance
I need to hold you now feel you in my hands
I reach for you but the only thing I seem to see
Is a cloud of bright darkness ready to take me
I need you here now so I plead for more time
But the only response I hear is this simple little rhyme:
"I'll take your soul now because it's your time to die,
It was never really love, but just another loving lie.
