Suddenly I turned around and there it was the perfect gift of Love

It was so perfect and sweet like it had been sent from above

I pulled out the card and slowly stared to read

It told me how in your life my love you would need

It went on to say how you missed me and wished to hold me tight

And that you thought and dreamed about me every single day and night

You finished by saying that you would love me always

And until our marriage you'd be counting the days

I laid down the cared and curiously stared at the gift

I couldn't help but think about the future and the life left to live

I carefully unwrapped the box and gently held it in my hands

You never wanted me to forget that you wanted me to be your husband

I opened the box and there I found my dazzling ring

It still surprises me how so much is placed on this little thing

I placed it on my finger and held it in the light

We're to be married and this I'll always know is right

Our future is bright and filled with so much hope

Then there in front of me I found this little note

The message was there clear for me to see

It said,"I Love You, will you marry me?"
